About Sandy And Associates Training
Sandy and Associates Training is a friendly and down to earth company and is one of the most practical training and coaching companies in Cumbria. Sandy formed the company over 5 years ago and expressly works only with associates who will bring practical advice and practical usage for any training being delivered. Sandy has worked as a trainer and coach since 1990. During her 30 years in retail banking she attended many courses for sales and management and found the theory of the subjects being trained very boring and that a number of people on the same course found turning the theory into practice problematic if not in some cases completely unable to bring the theory together with a practical use. It was obvious for Sandy to offer practical training and guidance in her business which is down to earth and honest, some could say with her Liverpool upbringing ‘she calls a spade a spade’. Understanding the practicality of the theory into all of her training courses is one of her passions and is valued by the SME’s and Corporate companies alike.
At the heart of her work is Insights Discovery, a preference-based system with its foundations in the work of Carl Jung. Using colour as a common language for self-understanding, effective interaction and organisational growth, Discovery represents the unique thread running through our entire portfolio.
As its entry point, the Insights Discovery learning system identifies four colour-energies – Cool Blue, Earth Green, Sunshine Yellow and Fiery Red – and presents these on a wheel we call the Insights Discovery Wheel.
Each of us uses these colour energies to varying degrees, though it is our unique ordering of the energies that will shape our personal style, and it will be our preference for one colour energy that will indicate our dominant or preferred style of thinking, working and communicating. Imagine knowing how your team or organization in such detail, imagine the results you can achieve by using and understanding fully how your employees ‘tick’!

Jane HafrenJane is also a qualified Practitioner in Transactional Analysis for Organisational Development and has been studying for 5 years towards her CTA (Certified Transactional Analyst). Jane has over 20 years experience of delivering a range of information and skills to groups, at conferences, in training courses and to individuals. Over the last 4 years Jane has added coaching to the list of her skills, and has coached both managers and staff in large public sector organisations, and business owners. Jane is passionate about excellence in communication and leadership to develop people and organisations. She believes using a coaching style of leadership is the best way to support and challenge staff to develop to their highest potential and move organisations forward. She is certain that in the current climate it is possible to turn an environment of financial cut-backs into cutting edge services, where efficiency and effectiveness count. |

As an employee of Furness Building Society I first attended Sandy’s course in February this year. Having worked in financial services for 32 years and attended courses across the whole spectrum I was somewhat sceptical as to what the course would offer me.
